About Us

Our Mission: The Lancaster Soap Box Derby is dedicated to teaching the youth of South East Ohio how to become a better, more imaginative, self-confident team player, which will prepare them for the future. By working together with their family, friends and peers in the building and competing of a Soap Box Race Car, today’s youth will learn the power of teamwork, sportsmanship and life skills. The Lancaster Soap Box Derby organization along with the youth and their families will work together today to build a stronger tomorrow.

Do I have to buy and build a car?

For first-time drivers, we have club cars that you can re-build to fit your driver and use it to start racing. If you enjoy it, we can help you find sponsors to get your own car.
